PMBA - Professional Master in Business Administration
The Professional Master in Business Administration (IMBA) degree was developed and inspired by the great experience of author and educator Laurie Pickard who pioneered a self-administered MBA programme.
This programme is accomplished under the Akademie für Hochschulbildung.
The courses listed on the programme were established from top ten business schools in the United States. Some of the required courses to finish this programme are taken from the following schools: University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University, Northwestern University, Yale University, University of Michigan, Columbia University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Enrolling in the PMBA programme requires a Bachelor degree and at least two (2) years of work experience. For students who have work experience but no Bachelor degree, they may take our Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) programme prior to taking the PMBA programme.
Completing the PMBA degree will approximately take at least eighteen (18) months or more. The courses required in this programme can be enrolled for free at massive open online course (MOOC) providers including the edX and Coursera platforms. Similar to our other degree programmes, we do not charge a tuition fee or any exam fee for this programme but these MOOC providers charge a nominal fee for certificates of completion. Taking all the courses of this PMBA programme will cost about €2,000 (for class year 2022) with certificates from the schools above. Without certificates, it will cost much less than that.
In order to be awarded the PMBA degree, students must pass all the courses required in the course list and must write a thesis prior to graduation with a minimum of 10,000 words on a preferred business topic. Students will be interviewed as part of their final requirement for graduation.
